Ready to Burst Forth from the Cage

Friday, August 29th, 2008

It is an interesting mix of feelings I’m experiencing at the moment. I feel at once chained to a rock, unable to move beyond a certain range and at the same time, I feel like I could take flight at any moment.

Freedom is closer than ever. I feel the day is about to arrive at any moment. Only practical considerations are still holding me down. I can’t wait to overcome those considerations.

Life’s experiences have left me aware enough to know that I can’t just accomplish anything simply because I wish it.

Fate plays a role in our lives (a big one). Wether we are permitted to achieve a goal or not has a lot to do with the Master plan that a higher being has established for us.

You cannot just do whatever you want and you cannot believe that sheer determination alone will allow you to achieve your goals. The practical cannot be ignored.

The best you can really do is move in the direction of your goals. And if the Master Plan is on your side, everything falls in to place very naturally.

That is not the same as saying there will not be obstaces to overcome. But letting things come more naturally is a good way to be. It is dangerous to think you can force the world to move for you.

If you could force the world, everyone would have everything they wanted. And I think every single person in this world will agree that he doesn’t have everything he wants. This is the proof that you cannot force an outcome - at least not every time you want to.

Move towards your goal and realize that there is a master plan that controls your destiny. You should not seek to change that plan but rather to discover it.

That Master plan is filled with what is best. There are other issues to consider. This is not all there is.

Am I Better than You?

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

The recent few months have been a bit stressful.

As a result, I have been forced to face the reality that some people think that I think I am better than them.

That isn’t actually the case, but it is the perception. What do you do with that?

I think this is a problem that I have always faced from the time I was a kid on.

It doesn’t do any good to say the rest of the world is wrong.

There has to be something in my character / personality that gives people this impression.

I need to figure this out because it is apparent that many people are inadvertantly feeling hurt and then retaliating in very passive agressive ways.

I’m surprised that people think I think I’m better than them. I have no idea why. I’m not rich and famous - that doesn’t make you better either - but at least I could understand that perception.

I’m just a regular kind of guy. So what is behind this?

I hope to figure this out and reduce the friction that has come into my life as a result. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave
